The aim of this course is to introduce basic computer concepts and use to students. It covers computer hardware and software fundamentals (including the use of Windows Operating System), key productivity applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentations, with Microsoft Office recent package. Internet, web searching strategies, online communities and e-mailing systems are some of the topics that will be dealt with in this course. The students will develop basic computer skills to help them with college and workforce readiness.

Computer Awareness and Skills is an introductory course that develops essential digital competencies in computer hardware, software, file management, internet use, computer networks and digital communication. It also introduces emerging technologies, including cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Intelligence (BI), Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), while promoting safe, ethical and effective use of technology in education, the workplace and everyday life.

Computer Appreciation introduces you to the fundamentals of computers and information technology, building practical skills in hardware, operating systems, and file management. You'll gain hands-on experience with word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email, and internet use, alongside basic digital literacy and online safety principles. By the end of the course, you'll be able to operate a computer confidently and use common office applications for academic and professional tasks.
